Last week i went to meet my Brighton friend in Birmingham as its half way between both of us. We were staying in a travelodge that from the outside looks like its right next to the bull ring there fore it is going to be in a good location however when you look more closely its actually next to some rough looking buildings ha but not to worry.
The first day mainly consisted of coffee, shopping and more shopping, i ,love shopping in Birmingham apart from the annoying chuggers or charity muggers who keep coming up to you and the actual beggers asking me for some money to get a cup of tea, how selfish considering i hadn't even had a cuppa myself!
then there is those annoying love film people yes those ones who ask you how old you are, i just say im 16 just to see the look on their faces.
Later on we decided to go and look at the market, which i really wish i hadn't ! i walked to one stall and noticed what looked like horses legs and hooves on top of the counter and to my horror further down there was heads, goats heads to be precise! the way the eyes looked made me feel ill and before i looked at anything else i just started running and running until i got outside, i just had to get out because it made me feel so ill!
in the evening we went in search of an all you can eat Chinese, we realised our hotel is just round the corner from loads of Chinese places but they all looked a bit run down so we didn't dare set foot in them, instead we opted for one round the corner which upon entering realised it looked and was set up like a work canteen, but at 10 pound for all you can eat chinese including not so chinese puddings we couldn't turn it down, it looked quite tasty but on closer looks after we had paid we realised there wasn't a lot on offer so i settled for black bean chicken, noodles, chips and various other bits, the best bit was the not so chinese puddings which were mainly chocolate based.
the next day we set out to find the mailbox but when we go there realised it wasn't so good at all, we then carried on walking and ended up walking all done the canals, not actually in the water of course ha. it was really nice down there, we then found broad street where all the bars are, and ended up in Birmingham's answer to the city in London, which looked very posh. This all brought us back to the bullring and we realised we had gone round the longest way ever.
We decided later on to go to selfridges champage bar, mainly as it was a Thursday night offer as we couldn't have afford to go there any other time! upon arrival we noticed everyone was just sat casually drinking bottles of moet at 5 in the afternoon, how crazy and there was some event going on at the other end of the bar, it was a far cry from scunthorpe! i had a French martini and a cosmopolitan which were both Delicious and for one night only i actually felt quite posh. it was so good, i want to go back again!
after all that posh stuff we went back to reality and went to pizza hut ha bit of a difference, after a chicken supreme and a coke it was time to investigate the chinese quarter,
We desicovered it was the same place as the chinese run down restaurants and to our surprise it all comes alive at night and there was loads of posh looking bars, we couldn't believe it, we went in one bar and realised it didn't live up to the expectations of the champagne bar so went back to the hotel for a sing song to oasis instead!

gaymers at 7am V festival 2012
Well I could write all about the bands and who was good and what I thought about them but that would take forever and frankly I can't be bothered so...
V fest was the first festival I have ever been to infact I haven't even been camping before so I had no idea what to expect! By the time we got there after a 7 hour journey to Chelmsford the site was full so we had no choice to set up next to the toilets, which started off fine but later on turned out to be abit of a nightmare as I found out in the middle of the night...toilet doors constantly banging at 5 in the morning isn't the best thing ever!
I realised people at festivals are quite unique, I mean who goes to sleep at 5am then gets up at half 6 all ready for the day and sat drinking gaymers apple and cherry cider. It is pretty crazy, speaking of crazy we had a crazy and annoying tent neighbour called Becky, who just from listening from my tent I found out all about her sex life or lack of it, her cats name, the countries she has been to and the fact she's gods gift to men! So when I saw her I was quite surprised as she was far from this. We was sat outside one day and she came up to us and asked us if we had any food or drink for her to have, what the hell! She then proceeded to drink whiskey with cider( our cider) and carried in taking about her sex life, she had gone to v fest with 2 guys who clearly seemed fed up and losing the will to live with her, I ended up getting to know one of her male friends who seemed really nice at first, but I won't go into details but put it this way you don't go to v fest to meet your future husband!
I find the people funny who shout Alan Alan Alan all the time but don't find it as funny at 5 in the morning!
Another funny thing or not so funny thing depending on how you look at it is the incident yes incident that happened to cher Lloyd, we was watching her, not that I wanted to watch her but never mind anyway she was talking about how it's not very nice for people to throw wee at her and about 5 minutes later she was singing another song and then stormed off the stage like a 14 year old that hasn't been followed by Harry styles for the 103 time, it turned out someone clearly had not listened to her request and had gone and thrown a bottle of urine at her again, someone clearly had it in for her that day, Im not a fan of Cher but no one deserves that.
At one point during the weekend I was walking around and found this short cut between stages and came across these toilets which were like actual toilets and I thought it was too good to be true turns out it was as I later found out this was VIP area or something ha.
During the weekend there was several celebs out and about most in the village but some were spotted in the main arena, the thing is you could walk right past them and wouldn't notice as there is that many people, how crazy is that.
On the last night I wanted to see snow patrol and the killers but my friends didn't so I went on my own, I thought it would be scary but amongst all the crowd it didn't matter at all and there was some people on their own as well. Snow patrol were amazing as usual, and the killers were really good, their set was quite eerie almost and Brandon spoke litter words but I think this adds to the effect they was trying to create, singing along to mr bright side with about 50,000 people was the highlight of my weekend.

Isle of wight
My uncle and auntie live in the isle of wight and as we had not been in a few years we decided to go stay for a week.
Now I could write about how beautiful the island is and how nice the scenery is but for one thing I can't be bothered and for another it would be pretty boring!
So il just give an overview of the week
One day we went to ventnor, the home of. Pub called the spyglass where Russell brand and Robert pattinson have been spotted in the past.
Sandown is not so celeb style it is more like Blackpool and I wouldnt go again!
Cowes is a really popular place and we went for cowes week which is the most
popular yachting event of the year. I have decided I want to be a sailers wife ha.
There was also some really beautiful boys there
I love the way the whole island feels like it has stayed in the 50s and I love the laid back lifestyle it really is nice.

Race for life
Better late than never I have finally got round to posting this!
On the 29th of July 2012 I went to Hull to do race for life, which if you don't know is a 3 mile run or walk across hull. I was doing race for life on my own but it didn't matter as there was lots of other people on there own too. I was totally unprepared for this race as I had given up running a while back and started cycling instead but cycling wasn't going to help me in this race! Just before the race started a man shouted out that everyone had to be in different start points according to whether they would be running jogging or walking the race, at this point no one knew what was going on so I stayed in the one I was in which turned out to be the one for serious runners ha oh dear. So anyway the claxon went and off we went, I started running for about a minute then realised I couldn't do it so walked, I switched between running and walking for most of the race. My mum and my friend was there to watch me. Whilst taking part I kept reading the backs of peoples tops and it was quite emotional seeing all the messages and dedications to loved ones, people were running for so many different reasons and I found it emotional seeing how cancer can affect so many people and families.
The 3 mile race seemed to be at least 10 miles and it was a really hot day! By the end of it I was getting tired and when I reached the end I thought I would have to do another lap! Luckily that was the finish line even though there was no one cheeri bit was a bit of a strange feeling.
But when I realised I had finished I did feel really good and thinking this time last year I couldn't even get up the stairs I realised I had come so far in a year.
The next couple of days my muscles ached like I had done a Marathan ha but never mind I will definitely be doing it next year

Holidays from Glasgow, a virtual world and dance offs
So this weeks blog is another random one, these blogs are pretty random aren't they but oh well haha.
To start with I want to talk about my funny night on Saturday night, I went to this surprise wedding anniversary do,so we was all sat quiet and poised ready for when the person in question walked through the door, not a pin drop was heard and the lights were off and then she walks in and I could tell straight away that she wasn't at all surprised, it turns out she had known about it all along, I mean how stupid! So the night mainly consisted of drinking 13 southern comfort and lemonades, 3 vodkas and 2 shots followed by a dance off with my friend that got very messy, let's face it I'm no changing Tatum! Then later on we headed to town and as soon as I got there I felt sober as a judge( are judges actually always sober) and then I realised town looked honorific and the thought of tea and toast in bed seemed far more appealing!
I think I've got to the point where town is only good if your absolutely off your face which after 13 southern comforts you would think I would be, once I had 4 ciders and I was dying for the whole next day, I mean what's that all about?!
Also when I was out I kept thinking to myself I bet the majority of these girls that go out look absolutely nothing without all the makeup and tan they have applied with a trowel, sorry but that's the way I see it!
My next point is about holidays, I have been looking for a last minute deal and I've noticed that every flight seems to depart from Glasgow, I mean why Glasgow, surely it is less cost effective from all the way up in Glasgow rather than just setting off from London right? I just don't understand it at all, is there something about Glasgow that i don't know about, like it has it's own special flight path to get to Spain that the airports everywhere else don't. Hmm it's a mystery and rather annoying as I don't really want to travel all the way to Glasgow to then travel back down again on the actual plane! Stupid this it. Enough said.
My next point is about the Olympics or rather team GB, you know those two letters that are on every item you ever pick up, I mean why can't they just say great Britain, it's like we are embarrassed of the fact so we call it GB to get down with the cool kids, speaking of the Olympics I'm not saying anything bad about it but Is it really necessary for them to mention it every 3 seconds of every day and count down constantly, I ,dan about 10% of our country have probably got tickets to go see it and the rest of us will watch it in the background on our tvs so why is everyone so obsessed by it?
My final point this week is about everyone's becoming obsession with the world that is twitter, yes that social network site that is fast becoming more popular than Facebook, your whole life in 140 characters or less told to the world, the thing I am still finding bizarre about twitter is the fact that anyone in the world can follow you without having to request first, I mean how do they come across you in the first place, do they scour the net looking for you, or do they just think she looks ok il follow her, but these people always have about 3 followers to there name so how can they possibly find you in the first place? It's so strange.
Then there is people's obsession with celebrities, twitter is full of 12 year old girls constantly asking for one direction to follow them, the thing I don't get is why they think that saying sentences such as " if you follow me I will sleep better tonight" will get them a follow is beyond me, I mean seriously?! If you was famous and you had hundreds of girls saying these type of things to you everyday wouldnt you think they was a bit crazy? And then there's them girls that actually write down the date that Liam or someone followed, I mean what are they actually benefitting from someone famous following them? All they are benefiting from is them being big headed that is all! And really if someone does happen to follow you it's by pure luck at the most, imagine you have 500+ mentions, your not going to read them all are you, your just going to pick one, and if that one happens to be some girl then that is the only reason they follow, another point is say these people do follow you what does that mean? It's just a virtual world, they are not speaking to you in real life, the picture you have up is most likely fake or edited and what you write about yourself is probably fake as well so at the end of the day it means nothing! End of
Right time to put the kettle on I think!

lol, band t shirts and porter loos
Right then where do i start with the blog this week..
well im going to try and make this one less depressing than the previous weeks blogs ha.
Il start with my thoughts on text speak, you know the grammar and wording people use when they text, now i will never get those people that think its acceptable to spell like this; hi ows u wubu2? and then use words like this; y, lyk, dis, das, myn, tym, c u l8r, oh and those people that say things like pretti and sexi or even worse sxc and bbe, oh my days it drives me mad how can people actually speak like this? its so off putting when people cant even write a correct text, it makes me think they must talk like this in real life!!
oh another thing ive noticed is these days why do we have to say lol or haha at the end of the text, i mean are you really laughing when you say lol. i think sometimes people use lol to make people feel better for example if you say ' are you really going to wear that' it doesnt sound very nice but if you say ' are you really going to wear that lol' it doesn't sound quite as harsh. The thing is people have over used the whole lol thing now people are actually scared that if they dont put lol or ha on a text that they will come across too serious, i mean there is nothing worse than when you send a text and people ask if you are mardy because you didnt put lol. I mean what the hell is this all about, myself and a friend put this to the test yesterday by not using lol or ha for a day and il be honest i actually had to think about it a lot to make sure i didnt put it, and i actually felt that i was coming across too serious, whatever next!
another thing this week that brought to my attention was peoples lack of knowledge when it comes to music, i will be walking around and i will see some young blonde tanned girl wearing a ramones t shirt, and i can guarantee that she will have no idea who they are but yet she is wearing there t shirt! i find people these days seem to stick with what is played on the radio or what is in the charts, where did all the good music go before all this nicki minaj/chris brown/flo rida music come about. The thing is the good music is out there its just harder too find, i personally love finding a new band that is quite unknown and watching them gradually get known, it annoys me however when you tell someone about said band or artist and a few months later they say to you ' oh this band is amazing' and you think to yourself yeah i told you about them months ago, and they take all the credit!
my next point this week is when people dont understand or get my sarcasm, now most people that know me will know that i have a very sarcastic sense of humour not quite as bad as jimmy carr though ha, but anyway some people dont seem to get this at all and il say something and they will take it the wrong way and think im being serious, and i have to explain that it was a joke. Now sometimes this goes the other way which is the problem when you have a dry sense of humour as sometimes i will say something serious to someone but they will think im joking for example if i say they look nice, so it can go two ways!
My final point this week is with people that are constantly on a diet, like all year round, it really does make me laugh. Everyone knows someone like this, those people that always tell you they cant have that chocolate because they are on a diet, but then they say ' oh one wont hurt will it' well that one that wont hurt is the reason that they are constantly on a diet! that and the bottle of wine they drink every night.
on a lighter note its just over a month until i am going to v fest and even though i am really excited i am also quite scared about the prospect, i had a bit of a practice this weekend when i went to scunthorpe fake fest and oh my it was muddy and there was porter loos there and i didnt like queuing up for them and there was only about 3 people queuing! so i really need to prepare myself, best get stocking up on baby wipes and hand sanitiser
well thats a wrap for this week

Songs to your life and other bits
This weeks blog is abit of a random one as there has been lots of different things that have drawn my attention.
The first and foremost is the weather yes you guessed it the rain! Now you may be thinking oh stop moaning it's only a bit of rain but the thing is it actually ruins everything which brings me onto my next point about cycling, I have only just started getting really into it but the rain is making this difficult, it is rather problematic biking in the rain for one thing it doesn't feel safe when your feet keep slipping on the pedals, on a lighter note I did manage 12 miles on a less rainy day although I nearly didn't make it, it's insane thinking just this time last year I was about to leave the hospital so weak I could barely climb up the stairs so I think I have come so far, I just need a better bike the only problem being that the really good ones are over 500 pounds ouch.
My next point this week is about Wimbledon or rather Andy Murray, when he broke down when he lost at the end and he could barely speak and people didn't know what to do, I think the majority of people actually couldn't believe it, now my point isn't that he shouldn't be showing emotions or he should show emotion, my point is that people didn't expect it, and why didn't they expect it because people had already made their mind u
About him before they even knew him, judging him and making their own mind up about him, assuming I he had no emotions. The thing is we as a society do this constantly, people are classified and stereotyped constantly it's just something we do. But why is this, when you buy a book do you look for thrones that stand out from the front cover or do you buy the plain covered ones that are more of a mystery, everyone knows that it is these books that are the best, just look at Charles dickens books. We judge people all the time and make assumptions.
My next point of the week is when I went for my hospital appointment last week, the main clinic area has all been done up and looks brand new but when you turn round the corner and go onto the children's ward it is shocking, it's like it has just been left behind, I feel so sorry for any child that has to go there, it looks run down and desperately needed money put into it,yet there they are building this brand new clinic whilst the children have to stay on this horrible ward, it actually makes me sad. It lacks any personalality whatsoever there aren't even any artwork or pictures up anywhere. Someone seriously needs to do something about it.
This point could lead into more depth as when you look at it it is saying that things can look really good from the outside but once you look round the corner or a little closer things aren't quite what they seem.
My final point this week is about music and how it has a subconscious affect on us, it does this without us even noticing, a song can mean different things to different people. Someone may listen to a Coldplay song and it may take them to a happy place in their life but to another person it may affect them completely differently by making them feel sad or emotional. Why does it do this without us even realising?
Also music can change and alter our moods too, what songs do you listen to after a long day at work as apposed to the music you listen to first thing in the morning, music can lift our moods but also bring it down in an instant, music can do so much more than we realise.
Also I always wake up with a song in my head, what does this actually mean?
I know this weeks blog has been a bit deep this week!
Il maybe do something with a bit of comedy next week

Books, budgies and strangers
My blog this week is mainly about a programme I watched called LIfers, this programme filmed in a prison depicts the life of several inmates that are serving life for committing murders hence the name LIfers.
I was horrified by the people in this programme, one man who had murdered someone had his own room with all the luxuries and even had a play station and two budgies! I mean who bought him the budgies us the tax payers?! Another man showed absolutely no remorse as he told the interviewer that he had got fed up one night after watching football so decided to stamp on a mans head for an hour and an half and then dragging him into some bushes, he says that it could happen to anyone out there! He also said if it wasn't for his crimes he wouldn't have gained the qualifications he has today, he said he can now spell and read better than he could before. I couldn't believe it. Another man said that one day he had the urge to go out and kill someone so he did, people like this should never be let out ever. The people on this programme actually seemed to like life in prison I mean why wouldn't they, they get 3 meals a day, they get all there bills paid for, they have no rent to pay, they even get tattoos free and degrees, so who is paying for all this, yes you guessed it, it's us! We are paying for some murderer to do an art degree while everyone else gets in tons of debt if they want to do a degree. These lifers are living life in a five star hotel, they are in. O rush to get out. The thing that bothers me the most is the fact they don't seem to care or think what they have done is wrong.
Another issue that brought to my attention this week was this little game that people play called lets pretend I've never met you before in my life. Those people that you used to know and then one day for some reason you stopped speaking to them or vice versa and now you have to act like total strangers. You have to see these people out and just ignore them like you don't know them, who the hell invented this stupid game because when you think about it it just seems absolutely ridiculous right? You could have known someone for years and then one day you don't speak to them and before you know it your playing the let's pretend I don't know you game. I mean why does nobody ever just defy the rules and go up to the said person? I mean what's the worse that can happen, are they going to say " sorry do I know you" when did we become so pathetic and childish. The thing is WE all are guilty of doing it, I say we all grow up and sort it out because you can't go on like this forever.
My final issue of the week is the book called fifty shades of grey, if you don't know what I'm talking about you must have been living on another planet for the last 6 months. This book has become the most best selling book to have ever been written it has even beaten the harry potter and twilight series, the Uthor has apparently been making over a million a week. For what exactly? The book is probably the most badly written book I have ever read, it is full of spelling mistakes and poor grammer Nd mainly consists of the phrases " holy cow" and " oh my"
But yet everyone wants to or has already read it, why is this I wonder, I believe it is because people want to know what all the fuss is about, people know it is bad but they still want to see what all the fuss is about for themselves. It is one of them books that is terrible but you still want to read the 2nd and 3rd book just to say you have.
It's official the world has gone mad

Tan booze and religion
This weeks blog is about the issues that have raised my attention in the last week.
The first is fake tan, what's it all about? I say this even though I have been putting fake tan on all week so I am in no position to judge but what I found myself thinking was who started the whole fake tan thing and when did it become the norm to look orange?
These days if you haven't got a tan you are singled out and labeled pasty or pale or milk bottle legs, this is actually the minority these days as the fake look is the majority.
Did it all start from programmes like the only way is Essex and desperate scouse wives in which they look like the have been painting themselves with cuprinol.
When did we become such a society that is obsessed with vanity?
I used to be the minority that didn't believe in the whole fake tan thing and actually thought being pale made me unique but then I got succumbed to it and gave in and started putting on fake tan and I have to admit it does make me feel better about myself, which makes me feel are we really that influenced by the media and what you are expected to look like? The answer I believe is yes.
Another issue that got my attention this week is alcohol and society, I have been going out at the weekend every weekend for the last few weeks and it became the normal routine that when it got to Friday night it was time to have a strong drink.
Why is it you go through the whole week not even thinking about having a drink, I mean it doesn't even cross my mind yet as soon as its the end of the week i suddenly think oh I could just drink a glass of white wine. At the end of the day it is just another day right? Just because there is no work in the morning all of a sudden it's perfectly fine to go out and try and drink as much as you possibly can! These days people go out not just to have a few drinks but to drink as much as they possibly can as they want to feel drunk and out of control. It all seems such a good idea at the time as drinking makes you feel like a different person and it gives you confidence you never thought you had, but when you think about it is the person you become really you? When I don't drink I would never think about just taking to a random person yet when I've had a drink it seems perfectly acceptable to talk to anyone. It's just utter madness when I think about it and then there is the after effects of the night in which I wake up and have to think about what happened and sometimes can't remember things that have happened and this is actually scary. Yet we as a society continue to do this week in week out, as it is the norm these days.
This weekend I haven't touched a single drop of alcohol. And I have actually got. Clear head for once and I actually feel good nut then at the back of my mind a part of me feels like I have missed out by not drinking or going out, even though I should feel good right?
The next issue of the week is when I attended a christening today and it made me realise a few things, since when did we subconsciously become brain washed with religion?
As I was sat there and the vicar was reading out the verses I realised I didn't want to read out loud what it said as it was basically saying that I believed in god and Christianity. Which I do not.
At what point was I allowed to decide for. Yes,f if I wanted to read it out loud? The fact is I was not. Do they just assume that as I'm attending a christening that I must be religious? That I want to sing hyms about Jesus and that I believe in the bible nd everything it means?
The final issue of the week is cyclists, now I sometimes go cycling myself and I have noticed that some people think that as they are on a cycle that they have the same rights as someone who is on fact, when in fact they have not, they are on wheels so therefore they are a moving vehicle. Yet they think that when the traffic light is in red that they can go straight across, which is madness, if a car came out it would see the bike at all. Some people on bikes just think they can do whatever they want and this actually worries me. If you don't feel safe on the road on a bike then stay on the path please!!
Bit of. Rant this week sorry guys

Did you get dressed in the dark?
So I'm writing this blog as I need to express my thoughts on clothing or rather the ways people wear clothes, as I have noticed some rather unique findings on my day to day travels,
My number one pet hate is when people where leggings that are totally see through I mean what is going on? No one needs to see your pink pants at 8 in the morning do they? And when these people aren't the thinnest people either it's just horrendous, seriously go buy some leggings that actually fit or wear a longer top!
Another thing I can't stand is when men wear socks with sandals oh my god what are they actually thinking when they do this? Do they think that it is actually acceptable to have your socks as part of the shoe?
Then there is men who wear them horrendous comedy socks, I see them on the train all in their business suit and then I look down and notice some bright green socks, oh and don't get me started on men who wear comedy ties! THe only comedy thing about them is that everyone is laughing at them as they look so ridiculous.
Them there's them girls who wear those black rimmed glasses trying to rock the geek chic look but to be honest the only part of that they are rocking is absolute geek.
Another thing that really annoys me is when girls just wear clothes that are at least 2 sizes too small for them, I feel like saying to them seriously love you may have been a size 8 when you was 10 but your not anymore its time you realised this! It actually makes them look bigger if anything!
Then there are those guys who wear really dodgy shoes like those shoes boys used to wear at school, whenever I see a guy the first thing I notice is the shoes, if the shoes are dodgy I don't even bother looking any higher up!
Those girls that wear crop tops in the day time and you can see all there stomach, what's that all about, the only time it's acceptable to wear a crop top is if it's dark or if your 6!
Another thing I can't stand is when girls wear a backless dress or top but they wear a bra with it! I mean what is even the point it just looked ridiculous also them people who wear strapless tops but with a normal bra, I didn't know the bra staps was part of the top?
People who wear those brightly coloured bras with a black top, seriously a bright pink bra all showing isn't a good look.
What about those guys that have there boxers on show so much that there trousers loom like they are going to fall down at any moment, I mean why even bother wearing trousers when there boxers are the main feature, oh and it's even worse where they wear those comedy boxers with saying such as " boys on tour" just no
People who wear sunglasses when it's not even sunny, there are 2 types of peop,e that wear sunglasses indoors these are celebrities and losers! And you are no celeb
Girls who think it is acceptable to wear shorts so short you can actually see their bum cheeks I mean do I really have to witness this at 8 in the morning!!
And those girls who don't know the difference between night time and day time clothes, when they walk around doing in this shopping in hot pants and a crop top, what's this all about???
THose girls that wear skin coloured tights that are about 3 shades darker than this actual skin tone it looks horrific
Guys that wear those really low v neck t shirts with all their chest showing and when the tops they wear are so tight they look like popeye.
Right I think that's enough ranting for one day!

It fits it's a size 8
So recently I have been noticing something rather annoying in shops, that is the sizing of clothes.
I was in a shop and tried something on in my usual size 12 and it was far too small and I actually had to check the tag to see if they has put the wrong tag on, but no it clearly said size 12, so I thought oh we'll il just try the 14 on and that was still too small! Refusing to settle for a size 16 I walked out the shop feeling huge and my confidence trampled on, I felt awful.
I went to another shop another time and tried on a size 12 top and it was all baggy so i looked for a size 10 but there wasn't one only an 8, I thought that it would never fit but it actually fitted fine! I couldn't believe I was wearing a size 8 top, so I bought it straight away and left with a smile on my face
The next time I went shopping I tried a dress on in a 12 and it was too small so I had to get a 14, another shop I bought a size 10 top and another shop I bought some size 14 shorts, this was just getting stupid, how can the sizing be so different?
I decided to look at clothes online and so I looked at the online size chart, I was horrified when one particular website said I would need a size 16 when another website said I would need a 12, the amount of times I've bought clothes online and had to buy one in each size as they are always different, it was becoming a guessing game rather than knowing what size you are and ordering it.
If I had something in a 16 I would cut the label out as I would feel embarrassed wearing this size! It made be feel like I'd put on loads of weight but really it was the clothes.
When did sizing in shops become like this, I mean who actually decided on the sizing or do they just make it up, literally every shop is different it's ridiculous, then there is another issue and that is bras!! I range between about 3 sizes in every shop, why can't every brand use the same system!

Facebook, what's it all about?
My blog today is about the social network Facebook and what it has made us become
So where do I start on the subject of Facebook?
It has taken over the society that we live in,
Everything you do, everything you say seems to be published on Facebook these days, you go out and end up being tagged in photos you don't even remember being taken.
Why can no one ever have a conversation these days in person.
It used to be can I have your number? Now it is are you on Facebook?
How did this happen?
I remember a day when there was no Facebook and it wasn't the same world it really wasn't.
People spend a good part of there day looking at the statuses people put and the comments they put, but really who are these people you are reading about and are you really interested what they are having for there tea? Do you really care if they have a terrible hangover and can't get out of bed?
The answer is no you don't, you just go on it as habit. It becomes an addiction, a routine.
I bet the first thing you check in the morning is your Facebook.
And has anything changed over night? you take a quick look and what have you learnt? That someone couldn't get to sleep last night?
Facebook causes so many problems
Some girl writes on your boyfriends wall and the first thing you think of is who the hell is she, my boyfriend is cheating on me!!!
Then there is the complicated relationship status, it says single but there seeing someone, so there not really single are they.
Then if someone breaks up there status goes from in. Relationship to single and it's broadcast to everyone on Facebook.
I mean would you see it on the news " mr x is no longer in a relationship with miss y"
When did this become the way we live, to broadcast everything on Facebook?
What happened to the good old days when people spoke on the phone?
There is no privacy anymore and I don't want it to be part of my life anymore I am going back to the old fashioned way of communicating with people, and maybe you all should.

London part deux and other random stuff
Hi there.
So after my amazing trip to London I was going to London again to meet my southern friend pip. We stayed in the Hilton hotel in central London but the actual room. Was like a small box haha never mind, anyway after lots of shoppinfg down Oxford street, primark is a nightmare I can't stand it why is everyone so rude trying to grap everything it's like a cattle market! wE decided to head out into Leicester square to find something to do in the evening, what started out a quiet night out ended up pretty crazy, 3 bottles of cheap wines in Yates Leicester square we were safe to say rather drunk, and many people kept asking us to go in their dodgy basement bars, on a Tuesday night, I don't think so, after some embarrassing dancing and mainly wandering around the streets of London we went to McDonald's for a happy meal and started talking to anyone within view, we came a cross a lovely guy who turned out to be a up and coming comedian in London, how crazy and also he said I sound like sara cox, now this is the seventh or eighth person to comment on this, I just don't get it myself neither does anyone I know, plus I'm not from Bolton, I think most southern people think everyone up north is from Bolton like Peter Kay haha.I woke up the next day with the first words being "oh my god" and feeling still drunk and with a long journey home,
After a hungover wether spoons breakfast and wandering around covent garden partially drunk and partially hungover people must have thought I was on something as I seemed to find everything hilarious, and then my bus home was delayed an hour but overall it was a great night/ day in London.
At the weekend for my friends birthday we all went to the grand national and it was a very long day, getting up at 4.30 am was slightly extreme but never mind, the day itself was alright but not my kind of thing at all, for the main race I put two bets on but didn't want to watch the race as I don't like it at all. It turned out there were two fatalities in that race, one being Oneida bet on, I found this thought harrowing and I don't agree with horse shaving to lose their lives for the sake of money, it should be banned but it never will be.
THis week I went to both Leeds and Birmingham hospitals,
Birmingham for my usual appointment and Leeds for the clinic just for a follow up, I was supposed to be having a scan at Leeds even through I've just had one but they said I don't need one, thank god, I don't think I need unnecessary radiation thank you!
So that's all for now

VIP treatment at royal Albert hall
SO on the 3rd of April I set off to Leeds to meet some lovely people from the Leeds unit as part of the teenage cancer trust trip. When I first got there I was unsure what to expect but once I started getting to know the people is was all good.
We arrived in London at about 12 and got to the royal Albert hall via taxi, it takes forever in taxis as of all the. Traffic, it would probably be quicker to walk! Anyway when we got to the rah we went through the stage door entrance, how exciting and then headed along ame corridors in the heart of the royal Albert hall to a room to put all our stuff then went to the ,USC workshop . The music workshop was held in the Elgar room a specially designed room, full of instruments, I didn't know what to do but eventually I found myself a guitar or maybe it found me haha, we were shown how to play some simple chords by the guitar teacher, it was hard getting the hang of it and it really hurts your fingers! After a couple of hours of practice when then had to perform the two songs in front of an audience it was rather scary but I manages to blah my way through it haha, everyone was so proud of us and the director of teenage cancer trust came out to do a small speech, it was quite special.
Next we went for. Tour of the great royal Albert hall, we started in the main theatre where we watched Florence's band and orchestra doing there sound check, it was pretty intense as there was no other people in the building! We then were shown around where the queen, yes the queen sits when she goes but we couldn't actually go in the box itself, it was all very grand, after seeing some other sights including some artwork done by the teenage cancer trust units we were taken back to the back stage room and then we all got our tickets and goody bags!
Next we went for dinner at the backstage crew canteen, the food was out of this world is wasn't like your average work canteen! The desserts were stunning I didn't know which to pick!
After this we went back to the room and then we were taken to the green room, yes the green room! It was so surreal we was all stood there and then somebody mentioned at Caroline flack was there sat on the sofa, I didn't believe it at first but then I realised it was actually her! How crazy, I got my friend to go up to her and talk to her and he did, some people got autographs I unfortunately did not have time, we then had photographs with her and the support act for the evening and then Florence walked in! She was so down to earth and lively and expressed just how much the charity means to her, it was so nice, we then had photographs with her and I hugged her! After all this shock we had to leave so the artists could get ready, we then went to the main theatre and had our own box, apparently princess Beatrice as also therein about three boxes away from us but I never noticed neither did anyone else, Florence's performance was absolutely amazing and even better than on her cd it was incredible, it seems to end too soon though as she was only on for an hour which seemed strange but never mind.
After this we went to get our stuff and unfortunately there was no after party for us haha just a taxi to the hotel, we got to our hotel and had a few drinks in the bar before feeling rather tired, heading to bed. What an amazing day!
The next morning we went for a short walk to kensington gardens which is opposite the hotel and then we had to head back to kings cross to go home, going back up north was rather depressing but on the plus side I'm going to London again next week
This experience really was the best thing that has happened to me and I will never forget it

Going to london to buy a heat magazine
last thursday myself and my mum went to london, we went on the mega bus thingy and got to london at about 11, when we got there we set off to bayswater where are hotel was, it was near nottinghill, luckily i had my app on my phone to ensure we found our way there!
when we got there we managed to get lost so had to ask a rather cockney speaking postman where to go, luckily he told us the right way. When we got there it was a lovely hotel and the room was really nice, it even had a microwave!
Our first destination was to head to oxford street, straight away we went to primark, oxford street primark isn't like any old primark its amazing!! after going round and a few purchases later we headed down the rest of oxford street, along the way i found the forever 21 shop which is amazing, there are only like 3 in the uk so i had to go in! its all young and funky, a cross between new look, river island and primark, i could have spent all day in there!
after a few shops later we was in need of a sit down so we headed to john lewis, 5 floors and many escalators later we reached the top floor restaurant which is actually fantastic, the cakes are beautiful, i had a lovely lemon meringue tart.
Later on we headed further down oxford street in search of the m & ms world which i had heard about, it had 4 floors full of all things m and ms!
There was a wall of m and ms in every colour going! i tried to get a small amount but still it cost over 4 pounds but oh well, its not every day you can get love potion mix of m and ms.
Then we headed to Leicester square where it seemed to get really busy, london seems to get more busy in the evenings unlike here, we bought tickets to go see blood brothers for the friday night although we should have really shopped around for a better deal.
After what seemed like hours of walking later we decided to head back home to the hotel, we got home and then went to the pizza hut which was just round the corner. We made the most of the unlimited salad and went back to the hotel ready for the next day.
The next day we decided to go to buckingham palace, one thing i don't enjoy about london is the tube, one line in particular goes down very deep and when your on the tube it feels like your on a rocket its horrible but oh well it has to be done!
When we got to buckingham palace there was crowds of people and we didn't know what was going on, people seemed to be waiting for someone but i didn't know who, after ages of waiting later there was the changing of the guards in which the guards change over from the ones in grey to the ones in red, also a while later some people came in to the building in carriages, i think they was korean, it is funny how the british have such a tradition, it was really fascinating, during this time they kept shutting off the roads which meant at some points we couldn't get out, i felt like a caged animal!
later on when we was allowed out we walked over to st james park which was lovely, there was alot of wildlife, including pellicans, some woman was trying to feed them a biscuit, how stupid!
we wished we had taken a packup to have in the park, when we got out the park we ended up back in the main centre again even though we was going to the embankment, so we decided to have a costa and then go to covent garden, on the way we saw lots of statue people in the street, one was layed down swigging a bottle except he was covering in bronze stuff, he looked amazing, you wouldn't know he was real , we also saw a man who looked like he was running and someone had pressed pause, i don't know how he could stand there all that time!
We walked over to covent garden market and it was great, i love all market type things, in the market area there was a lot of entertainers including a magician and a man on a rope, there were a lot of unique shops including a moomin shop! i loved it.
when we headed back home we got off at the wrong stop and ended up a few stops away, we ended up walking past loads of private estates in nottingill, i wonder who lived there! when we finally found the right way we headed back to the hotel before heading back out to the theatre,
when we got to the theatre it was a really small place and really old, our seats werent too bad but there was too many peoples heads in the way!
the actual show was really good, the lead roles had amazing voices and marti pellow from wet wet wet was also featuring in it, afterwards it was getting later and the streets were packed, i noticed that there was loads of casinos and seedy bars in london!
we headed back to the hotel and stopped for chips on the way, no fine dining on this trip!
The next day was our final morning so we went to a small shopping centre in bayswater which was empty, Ive noticed that london on a saturdayportobello road but once again got lost but after asking someone we found our way there, when we got there it was a huge street full of all different colour houses and hundreds of stalls most selling so called vintage items, there was also stalls of food and we bought 2 huge cakes that were literally 4 times the size of normal cakes!
soon it was time to go so we made our way to kings cross station, it was a great trip and i would love to live there!
when we got there we managed to get lost so had to ask a rather cockney speaking postman where to go, luckily he told us the right way. When we got there it was a lovely hotel and the room was really nice, it even had a microwave!

The next day was our final morning so we went to a small shopping centre in bayswater which was empty, Ive noticed that london on a saturdayportobello road but once again got lost but after asking someone we found our way there, when we got there it was a huge street full of all different colour houses and hundreds of stalls most selling so called vintage items, there was also stalls of food and we bought 2 huge cakes that were literally 4 times the size of normal cakes!
soon it was time to go so we made our way to kings cross station, it was a great trip and i would love to live there!

here we go again
So its been a few weeks since my last post, so what have i been up to?
Ive been back at work!!
i started 2 weeks ago and it hasn't been easy to say the least, i expected to walk in and just continue where i left off, this wasn't the case, it was really hard fitting back in and getting back into the daily work routine.
I realised i had had it easy being at home but at the same time i wanted to be back at work and back into a routine, so i put all i had into it.
The first week was challenging to say the last and at some points i wanted to just go home and never go back again, but i stuck it out...
the next week was far better and by the end of it i actually enjoyed it, thankfully i have a week off now to rest!
Ive been to Birmingham today for my monthly visit, it went alright even though spent most of the day hanging about waiting, i hate the waiting its so boring, but anyway next time il be going is 5th march.
Just lately I'm getting a little obsessed with chemically or rather avoiding them so I'm trying to use all natural products, this can be hard at times but il talk more about that next time!
I'm going for a couple of days in London on thursday so that should be fun, even though I'm full of cold and my nose is like a tap, lovely i know!

Time for a new start
Since my last post what have i been up to?
since i had my hair chopped its actually already grown a bit and its growing on me(see what i did there)
I also dyed it back dark brown so bye bye horrid grey roots and ginger red hair!
I decided to buy some new storage for my room as i had had my shabby desk since i was young,it was falling apart so i decided to look for a new one,
i found a nice white one in a local shop and they also had a plastic drawer unit, so when i got it home it soon got filled with bits and bobs, i have far too much stuff!
I also went for my monthly trip to Birmingham royal orthopaedic hospital for my injection and blood test, for those of you who don't know what happens there i have my blood taken from my portacath and then have my injection, I'm getting used to these now ( they sting a lot)
there has been a lot of talk about my portacath lately in regards to keeping it or taking it out, after much discussion it has been advised that i keep it in for some time longer, as they still have problems finding a vein!
This isn't good news as i was looking forward to having it out as i hate it!
I can feel it all the time and eurgh its just horrid but oh well i will have to pretend its not there.
We also saw Dr grimer the consultant there who i had not seen in a long time and he said he was very pleased!
Its hard to believe that when i had my first injection i couldn't even walk i was that ill.
So much has changed and its all for the better.
Last week i went for a meeting at work to discuss myself going back, it has been decided that i shall be going back on the 30th of this month which is not long!
It is strange how i have had over a year off of doing nothing and now the time is going by very quickly and i will soon be wishing i had more time off haha.
So i am finally getting back to normal life, its going to be hard at first but I'm glad I'm back to the person i used to be,
these past 16 months have been a challenge and a half and i want to put it all behind me, but at the same time it has made me stronger as a person, it really puts your whole life in perspective.
To the new start and beyond
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

THE BIG CHOP
So its been a week since my last post and a week into the new year that is 2012
It hasnt been really eventful really well apart from one thing, my new hair cut!
i decided to take the plunge and get it cut short as it was so thin and horrible so i went to a hairdressers i havent been before and as soon as i walked in i thought oh dear,
the place looked very run down and had those hairdryers old ladies sit under, there wasnt a pair of ghds in sight, i was temped to walk out the door and not look back but i stuck it out and went for it.
i was thinking of a choppy short cut but i left the shop with a blunt short bob which i didnt really like, im still not keen on it but its growing on me, theres always my wigs hey!
This month i have decided im not going to drink at all, for one thing it makes me feel so ill and ive only just really recovered from christmas and new years eve, i was also supposed to stop eating junk but unfortunately there was far too much food that needed eating from christmas so i will be starting on monday, a week later instead.
tomorrow i will do my healthy shop!
